Well, Win7 will work until the start of next year when they kill support. And you know? Win10 is much slower on the same hardware. And I have many computers with different configurations on my work. Win7 works just perfectly for me, I like it and don't have any reasons to change it. And the most simple argument - don't fix, what isn't broken. BTW mobile Windows in dead, so I don't see any reason not to revert Win8-10 changes back. Don't we pay them enough money for licenses? M? And it's also about trying to force mobile Win10 on us via making PC and mobile interfaces similar, no matter, if it makes it ugly as hell. Someone would notice it, if it would be the case. And there are millions of software security specialists around the world. Even if Win7 does the same - it's violation of law, as I haven't allowed it to do it. I just wonder for how long modern-day techo-amish would hold on to their decrepit trinkets in attempts to stave off the evils of progress.If future is about signing agreement by my own hand, that allows some corporation to collect my private data and sell it to 3rd parties, than yeah, we don't need such future. I have found no other software backup solution on Windows 7/8.1/or 10 I can really rely on to recover my OS and disk with reasonable time and little effort.Glad to see certain less savory places on Earth keep being stuck in past. I use Clonezilla as my backup solution now. I advise people who want to protect their Windows 7 hard drive and installation to purchase a new hard drive and download an run Clonezilla ( Clonezilla - About ) to make an exact copy of their Windows 7 installation now, and keep it somewhere safe. I really hope this is not going to be another GWX patch upgrade story where it just forces the upgrade to Windows 10 without asking unless you stop it, and gives no reliable working option to roll back or deletes your 'roll back' data within a day or so.
I see Microsoft are installing patches in Windows 7 updates now warning people of the EOL and requesting you update to Windows 10.
Only thing people can do is to stay on Windows 7 and do not upgrade to Windows 10 even after Windows 7 is completely EOL.
